"Before joining the company in 2005 I was a delivery driver and had very little contact with customers. I fancied a change and knew of Plumb Center. It took some getting used to, but I found that I really enjoyed interacting with people. We are a small branch with just three of us here. We all chip in and help each other out. It's a team effort."

"I have been with the company since October 2007 and have been heading a flagship Brandon Hire site in Scotland. We usually have around 160 live contracts on the go - that's a lot of kit going out and coming back. I like the freedom I'm given to manage the business - that's crucial to our success. You never know who is going to contact you and what they may need to hire but you always have to be able to treat customers in the same way."

"I have been covering delivery routes for William Wilson around Aberdeenshire for over 15 years. I drive an 18-tonne lorry, one of the biggest in our fleet. I work out my own routes as I know the area so well. I did try a sat nav once to see how good it was - but it wasn't as clever as me at finding places. I have never got the same motivation in other jobs as I do in my current role. Being outside is what gives me a real buzz."
