Wolseley UK are offering 10 driven graduates, places on our all-new Sales Leadership Graduate Programme.

Our structured 18-month programme is designed to grow our next generation of leaders, by giving them the practical experience they need to take on a sales role within 12 months, with a career path to sales management.

As such, it's a great opportunity to quickly progress your career within one of our trading brands. From day one, and for the first six months, you'll be dealing with customers in one of our busy branches and learning how we do business. The following twelve months will be spent in the field, developing your sales skills alongside our professional sales team. Together with classroom training, assignments and support from the business (including our directors), the programme will equip you with the skills you need to succeed.

Our structured, branch-based programme combines practical, on-the-job learning with study towards NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Customer Service. Still interested and keen to hear more?  We’re currently looking for Warehouse Assistants to join our vibrant team of 6,500 employees.    This role involves receiving stock into the Warehouse, ensuring it is accurately allocated to the appropriate locations.  You’ll be processing orders by accurately and quickly locating and labelling product and loading orders prior to despatch to ensure customers receive the right products quickly.  You will also assist in other areas as required, providing you with a solid grounding in branch operations, plus the necessary skills to progress your career.

In summary:

  • Customer service: providing a high level of customer service
  • Goods In: ensuring delivered goods are put away accurately, safely and are recorded.
  • Good Out: picking, packing and labelling goods accurately and efficiently to ensure they are prepared and ready to go out to our customers.
  • Housekeeping: maintaining an ordered and tidy warehouse space to comply with health and safety guidelines.

The training will help you build those all-important customer service skills to be able to proactively and resourcefully respond to their requirements.   You should already have good communication and basic PC skills, as well as a full driving licence.

As a guide, our branch trading hours are Monday to Friday: 7.30am – 5.00pm and Saturdays: 8.00am – 12.00pm.
