Wolseley UK has partnered with de Poel Community, formerly placeability, to bring even more talent into its growing workforce.
As an organisation which aims to cultivate diversity in its workforce, Wolseley UK aims to recruit and support employees from a range of backgrounds and recognised that a partnership with de Poel Community would help them to achieve those goals.
de Poel Community works with people who have barriers to work, helping them to find both temporary and permanent employment across all industry sectors, matching the best possible talent to the job role, across a variety of employment sectors.
Wolseley UK introduced a five day work trial for de Poel Community candidates, giving them the opportunity to experience what a career with Wolseley UK looks like and allowing them to showcase their true potential.
A number of candidates fitted in so well during their placements they went on to accept a permanent role.
Rachel Shanley, Resourcing Manager, Wolseley UK said: “Working with de Poel Community is not just about being a responsible employer and establishing good community links. They are genuinely helping us to find new talent, so it is a win-win situation. I am delighted that three candidates enjoyed the work so much and fitted into the team so well that they accepted our offer of a permanent role.
Janice Henson, Director of de Poel Community, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Wolseley UK, in their drive to attract diverse talent, build their strong community presence, and strengthen their commitment to a sustainable workforce. The partnership between de Poel Community and Wolseley UK is the perfect fit to enhance the fantastic work they currently do”.
