Working in a branch

We look for people who are great with customers and who’ll go the extra mile to help them. For some jobs, you might need specific technical skills or experience. But if you’re happy dealing with people on the phone or face-to-face and work well in a team, you’re likely to fit in here.

We’re one of the Scotland's leading suppliers of plumbing, heating and bathroom supplies, with 21 trading locations and 14 bathroom showrooms across Scotland. With a record of promoting new heating technologies, we’re Scotland’s leader in renewable energy heating solutions.

We also have Northern Heating, a specialist heating merchant based in Aberdeen, as a trading arm. We aim to provide customers with the right products in the right place at the right time. So, if you’re used to giving customers exceptional service, we can offer a range of career opportunities across Scotland.

My career story

James Geraghty, Area Manager. Central region.

I chose Wolseley because it was a big business where I thought my skills could make a difference. I love working here – it’s a people business, which really suits my skills. I have a very hands-on approach and that’s something that definitely works here. I feel like I’m making a real difference to the team and the business. It’s also a fun place to work. There’s a real team ethic and time goes so quickly. I really enjoy engaging my team, seeing them grow and take responsibility for their roles.

My career story

Tim Margetts, Sales Assistant.

I really enjoy working in my branch, because the manager’s very good and is very fair to every member of staff. We have good relationships with customers and a good health and safety record. Wolseley give you a lot of benefits. As well as things like the tools and equipment you need to do your job, you get money off your mobile phone bill and there are staff competitions and the staff lottery. The Sharesave scheme and pension are really good, too.
