Green cleaning

As part of our commitment to reducing our impact on the environment, we’ve made the switch through our Lyreco contract from standard chemical-based cleaning products to biological products from Bioforce that are gentler on the planet and better for your health.

By using products that are 99% biodegradable to clean our sites and branches, we’re doing our bit to help minimise the amount of harmful chemicals released into the air and waterways, reducing the detrimental impact on the environment and our bodies.

In addition to offering health and environmental benefits, biological/biodegradable cleaning products offer a deeper clean than chemical-based alternatives. This is mainly because the cleaner gets into the nooks and crannies of surfaces due to it having smaller molecules compared to other products.

We’re also able to minimise the amount of waste produced. These ‘green’ cleaning products are delivered in a concentrated form, which can then be diluted down into refillable spray bottles.

With each 900ml bottle of concentrated cleaner making 360 individual 750ml spray bottles, we not only use less product to do the same job versus conventional methods, we will also have significantly reduced the amount of plastic that we use and throw away and see a 75% cost reduction too.
