James Ibbeson's Wolseley career continues to go from strength to strength, and his dedication, commitment and staying power has now been rewarded with a promotion.

James, who's been with the business for 17 years, was delighted to accept the offer to become the P&H Local South Area Manager, having previously held branch manager roles across the South West.

When asked about his journey to senior management level, he explains: "I spent eight years at Exeter before moving to Tiverton where I took on my first managerial role before going back to Exeter as Manager for eight years."

Looking back on his career to date, the best things about his various roles, and what has really motivated him to succeed, he adds: "The thing I enjoy most is that no day is the same and you will always learn new things - these are really beneficial in the long run, and what is clear to me is that the business has a tendency to promote from within as much as possible. I'm still striving to achieve more in my career, so I am always willing to take on any opportunity that'll help me do that."

James also paid tribute to some of his great mentors, who've helped him get to where is today - namely his former Area Manager Dean Jones, and Barrie Craig, who was his Area Operations Manager until recently.

Finally, James recognises that there is some real talent within the business at and is calling on those with high aspirations to keep on striving. "If you put your mind to it and you work hard, you can achieve whatever aim you set yourself," he said.

Congratulations once again, James - we're sure you're going to bring plenty to your new role and inspire others to develop as you have.
