I just feel happy here. The people I work with are great – we’re like a family.

Working for Wolseley

Working for Wolseley Wolseley is a marketing-leading business with a rich heritage, spanning back to 1887. With branches across the UK, it is our goal to be the service-led partner of choice to trade professionals.

Across this site you’ll be able to get a feel for the brands within our family, all leaders in the plumbing, heating, pipe, climate and infrastructure fields, and see what roles we have to offer that support our customers and our branches.

If you like what you see here, and think you could help us fulfil our goal once you’ve had a look around (especially in the ‘Our offering’ section, as we believe our colleague deal is one of the best around!), then please take the time to search our vacancies and apply. We’d love to hear from you.

A national business, with a local feel

The thing our colleagues tell us time and again after they’ve joined our business is they’re impressed by our size, scale and the variety of solutions we have for our customers – but not before they’ve told us how much their team feels like a family.

This is something we’re really proud of, and is true, whether you’re in one of our (over) 550 branches across the country, one of our three staggeringly impressive distribution centres in Martson Gate, Measham and Melmerby, or if you’re in one of our support centres (that’s what we call our Head Offices) in Warwick and Ripon.

The family-feel is part of what keeps our colleagues here and keeps our customers coming back, and the national scale – underpinned by one of the country’s largest fleets of specialist commercial vehicles and a modern and cutting-edge supply chain – is what keeps us growing and driving forward standards of service across the sectors we operate in – leading the industry in terms of products, knowledge and specialism.

Doing the right thing

Ensuring we’re doing the right thing is in our DNA. Not only in the way we look after, develop, reward and engage our colleagues (which you can read about in ‘Our offering’) but in our wider business practices too.

Having a diverse and vibrant workforce that reflects the communities we serve is a basic requirement for us, and we use our influence to ensure those same standards are upheld throughout our supply chain. We do the same when it comes to environment and sustainability, where we recognise that the biggest impact we can have is working with suppliers and customers to support the switch to more sustainable materials and the use of green-energy across the country – and this will remain a focus for us over the coming years.
